For 75 years, the population of the planet looked with admiration at the emergence, formation and development of such a car as the Cadillac Fleetwood. When the 1996 farewell speech was given to mark the end of this stunning model, a huge number of fans of this luxurious device were literally on the verge of a heart attack.

1921 was marked by the triumphant birth of this elegant car. The third decade of the 20th century was filled with bright colors for motorists: it was then that the most foppish Cadillac Fleetwood models were released. Until now, in order to become the owner of such a chic unit, fanatical motorists are ready to sacrifice a lot.

In 1954, the Cadillac Fleetwood was released, which became the first favorite car of the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley. It was then that this four-wheeled symbol of luxury and prosperity became the personification of the musical Olympus. In addition to the chic appearance, this car demonstrated the power and strength of its eight-cylinder "heart". Under the pink long hood of this proud apparatus was hidingthe thunderous power of a 5.4-liter V8 engine powered by 160 steel wayward mustangs. This car served faithfully to Elvis and his team, though not for very long: during the tour, Cadillac Fleetwood caught fire right on the road.

However, the love for this car was stronger than the bitterness of its loss, so after a while the king of rock and roll acquires four modifications of this amazing device. The crown of his collection was a 1954 model in a pleasant pink color, which he gave to his mother. By the way, it was this act that prompted a huge number of mothers to dream of such a gift, and their sons to strive to make this dream a reality. This desire was reflected in one of the best films, Knocking on Heaven's Door.

This Cadillac model was very popular until the 60s, when it was slightly replaced on the pedestal by the newly-made Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. This modification was available in two versions: a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe. This luxury car was replaced by another model of the company - Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine, which debuted in 1976. It is worth noting that the company has been increasingly trying to provide fans of its brand with the opportunity to own a luxury car at a reasonable price.

In the early and mid-90s, General Motors engineers spent a huge amount of time thinking about the release of a more modified and obstinate device. The result of theiraspirations was the installation of a Corvette engine under the hood of the Cadillac Fleetwood. This motor endowed the car with unprecedented power. The end of the era of this model reign was marked by sharper driving options, stabilization of traction control in corners, folding exterior mirrors, as well as modified spark plugs that gained platinum tips.

2013 also boasts a huge number of chic and luxurious cars. One of these steel “swallows” is New Cadillac: by changing its shape and improving its content, General Motors, like many years ago, caused a real storm of emotions among fans of this brand.
