The body kit of the motorcycle has decreased, instead of the standard fairing, a minimized one has been installed. The characteristics of the machine immediately changed, but it was not clear in which direction. It was decided to keep the proven version in mass production and at the same time launch the production of a new modification with a modified trellis aluminum frame. Thus, two models appeared on the market in 2003: a slightly "stripped" version of the Suzuki SV 650 and an "S" version with a streamlined body.

Small changes

The capacity of the muffler has changed - from 5 to 6.5 liters. The gas distribution system received deeply cemented cams, due to this, the camshaft resource was significantly increased. The stock 16-bit processor that "reads" the operation of the crankshaft has received new settings, thanks to which the position accuracy has increased.

Instruments

The most significant changes have affected the dashboard of the motorcycle and the instruments themselves. The Suzuki SV 650's dashboard has been fitted to the SV1000's instrument panel standards, and the hazard warning and overtaking indicators remain identical. The headlights and other lighting fixtures of the motorcycle have been slightly changed in terms of design.
