Among domestic manufacturers of automotive rubber, the Viatti brand occupies a special place. The tires of this company are produced on the basis of the Nizhnekamsk plant, now owned by Tatneft PJSC. But it is impossible to fully call these tires domestic. The fact is that engineers from the German Continental take an active part in the manufacture and design.

Lineup

The model range is represented by only 9 rubber samples. There are tires for summer, winter and all-weather use. Tires were developed for sedans, minivans and all-wheel drive vehicles. The most popular series are Strada, Brina and Bosco.

Features

The main distinguishing feature is the asymmetric tread pattern. A similar design is typical for all models of the company with the exception of Vettore Brina V-525 and Bosco A/T. Compared to the classic symmetrical pattern, the presented design gives Viatti tires better performance. The fact is that each functional area is optimized for specific tasks. This improves the reliability of straight-line movement, maneuvering and braking.

For example, the blocks of the outer arm experience the maximum load when stopped. Therefore, engineers made them more rigid. Reception increases the resistance of tires to sudden dynamic loads, the braking distance is reduced. The center zone helps to stabilize the vehicle when traveling at high speed in a straight line.

Application

Viatti tires are designed for different types of vehicles. The model range is not large, but it fully covers all the most popular types of passenger vehicles. However, some tires are used even on new cars. For example, Viatti tires are fitted as standard on the Skoda Octavia.

The brand itself refers its tires to the premium segment. Rubber differs not only in high running characteristics, but also in increased comfort. The tires are quiet and run smoothly, without causing high shaking in the cabin when driving on bad roads.

Opinions

The main sales market is the CIS countries. In reviews of Viatti tires, motorists first of all note the perfect adaptation to domestic operating conditions. Winter rubber samples retain high controllability even with a sharp change in coverage. Representatives of the concern have recently made ambitious statements about entering the European market. Since 2017, 500,000 tires have been exported. The main buyers were the countries of Eastern Europe and the Balkans (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). About 30,000 Viatti tires are also supplied to the German market.
