This window partially goes into the sleeping compartment, and many complain about the sun.rays that penetrate into the "spalka". There is no way to close it with anything. You have to invent some stubs yourself.
What pleases in the new MAN is a huge plastic lining on the door that covers the two steps. Here, drivers can leave their shoes without fear that they will somehow fall out. Another plus is the presence of side boxes in the cab. They open from the inside, for a special cable lever. The lid of the chest has a gas stop.
An interesting feature: MAN uses "smart" lighting technology. How it works? When you turn the steering wheel to the right or left, the system automatically turns on the side light. So, the dead zone is illuminated by a separate lamp located in the foglight section. This was done not only for convenience, but also for safety.
Paint and corrosion protection
Is the cabin well painted? The owners say that the quality of the paintwork here is at a good level. There are no chips after 500-800 thousand kilometers. But the headlights sweat, and this is a minus. Does MAN rust? Most of the elements in the tractor (and these are the bumper, steps, part of the doors, spoilers) are made of plastic. Therefore, there is nothing to rust here. Instances that have traveled over a million kilometers do not have the slightest hint of rust. In this regard, the Germans deserve respect. The only drawback is the attachment loops of the side spoiler, which moves away from the right side. The hinges loosen over time. And if there is a need to hook or unhook a trailer, it is difficult to move this spoiler to the side.
Bucky
If we talk about thepopular truck (Man TGX, truck tractor), it is equipped with two fuel tanks. On the right side, it has a capacity of 580 liters. There is a double tank on the left side.

This cabin has two sleeping berths. The upper one can recline, however, not by 90 (as on the Renault T-series), but by 50 degrees. The top shelf is equipped with gas stops. But on the bottom there are none. Lifting this shelf is much more difficult.
The XXL cabin must have a refrigerator. It's pretty roomy. Here you can store a one and a half liter bottle of water in an upright position. But drivers say that it cools unevenly. Ice forms in the area of the side and back walls, but in the area of the lid the temperature barely reaches five degrees Celsius. The height of the top cabin is more than two meters. This is one of the most spacious cabs among all trucks of the big European seven.
The driver's seat is organized with ergonomics in mind. Everything you need is at hand. At the top there is a walkie-talkie and a tachograph, which can be reached without looking up from the seat. Also in MAN there are two more stubs nearby. One of them is equipped with the Tol Collect system (road payment in Germany).
The steering wheel is quite comfortable, with a pleasant grip. All the necessary buttons are here. You can remotely adjust the cruise control, raise or lower the engine speed, and also go to the on-board computer menu. On the instrument panel there is not only a speedometer and a tachometer. Here, the digital display shows very important information for the driver - the mode of work and rest. Electronics in real time shows how much time the driver has traveled since the pause, as well as the total ride for two weeks. There is a small ledge on the center console where you can put a cup of tea or coffee. There is a drawer underneath. A little higher is a small glove compartment with a 12-volt cigarette lighter. Driver's seat
The seat in MAN is air-suspended. It can be adjusted in height, stiffness, as well as the level of the backrest. Additionally, there are two armrests. By the way, the seat belt is integrated directly into the back. It is very comfortable to reach for it. And if the driver forgot to buckle up, a sound indicator will tell him about it. But this is not always convenient. When approaching a loading or unloading point and after receiving documents (when you need to leave the salon), this system will beep wildly as soon as the car moves more than five kilometers per hour. And wearing your seat belt all the time during this period is not an option.
Cab Flaws
It would seem that the cab of the Man TGX is simply the standard of a modern tractor. But there are drawbacks here. This is a hard and creaky plastic panel,which scratches easily, as well as door seals through which air noise can be heard at speed. The doors are very hard to close. The remote control is inconveniently located. It is not duplicated near the sleeping bag. If you need to turn on the "hair dryer", the driver will have to reach out with his hand all the way to the front panel.

It's simple - the Germans "untwisted" the turbine, due to which the technical characteristics increased significantly.
The top and rarest engine is a 680 horsepower diesel unit. This is a 16.2 liter engine. In commercial companies, such MAN is almost never found. By the way, this unit has eight cylinders arranged in a V-shape.
It is worth noting that the resource of the above motors is more than two million kilometers. These engines have hardly changed since the MAN TGA and have already proved their reliability to everyone.
Gearbox
Man TGX Euro 6 is equipped with a manual transmission on16 steps. The gearbox for these trucks is manufactured by ZF. The transmission is equipped with a CommonShift hydraulic drive. And the lever itself controls the box through two cables. How do you shift gears in such a box? Everything is very simple here. The gearshift diagram is on the handle. In fact, there are only four positions. However, to switch to an increased range of gears (fifth and higher), you need to move the flag under the handle up. Switching speeds can be done without depressing the pedals. Its function can be performed by a small button located on the lever. True, you can use it only when driving (preferably at a speed of more than 40 kilometers per hour).
Retarder, intarder
The presence of these systems is not uncommon on modern trucks. And MAN was no exception. In the basic configuration, the machine is equipped with an intarder. This is a special retarder that reduces the speed of the car by closing the damper in the exhaust system. The retarder interacts with the engine. It is a continuous brake and its operation is based on the principle of decompression. However, this type of retarder is not available on all versions of MAN.
Pendant
Depending on the configuration, the Man TGX Euro 6 can have a full spring, combined or air suspension. But often the second type is used on mainline trucks.
So, there are four air tanks in the back, and a spring leaf in the front (don't be surprised, there is only one). This design provides highreliability and smoothness of the course, at the same time does not demand expensive service. By the way, the cab itself is sprung on two more pillows. Therefore, the driver practically does not feel the difference between these types of suspensions.
Clearance adjustment
The main tractor can change the clearance position thanks to the control panel, which is located to the left of the driver's seat. So, you can set the most minimum or maximum position, depending on the need (for example, when hitching a trailer). Suspension quickly takes the desired position. Everything happens in a matter of seconds. In terms of range, the suspension can be lowered nine centimeters or raised twenty centimeters above the transport position. These settings are stored in the on-board computer, after which they can be used again.
ETS 2
