UAZ Hunter came to replace the UAZ-3151 (or 469), which was produced for more than thirty years. Externally, the new SUV resembles its legendary predecessor, but it was created on a completely new platform. The use of modern components and a set of the latest technical solutions have made it possible to create a reliable and easy-to-use, dynamic and economical, comfortable and stable off-road vehicle. And of course, the traditional advantages inherent in all UAZ vehicles have been preserved - a low price with high cross-country ability.

Now this is not a military vehicle with a strict design without frills, but a modern SUV that can fit into the city stream. At first glance at the UAZ Hunter (photo below), one can note more aesthetic and safer plastic bumpers with built-in fog lights, decorative fender liner and 16-inch wheels. Sliding windows are now installed insteadswivel windows. This greatly improves visibility, ventilation and makes it easier to access the rear-view mirrors for their adjustment. Thanks to the double door sealing circuit, the car has become less noisy. Also, the microclimate has become better maintained and less moisture penetrates into the cabin. The rear tailgate is hinged, and a side door is installed on the version with an awning. Looks good and spare wheel in a case, posted on the back door. By the way, for an additional fee, you can put alloy wheels on the UAZ Hunter or repaint the car in metallic color.

The interior of the car has also undergone significant changes. The interior space now allows you to comfortably accommodate both passengers and the driver. The new front seats can be adjusted (tilt the back, longitudinally, change the lumbar support), which allows you to comfortably accommodate people of different builds. But the steering column is not adjustable for reach or height.

The back row is also quite comfortable. Legroom is enough even for very tall people. The rear row seats can only be adjusted by tilting the backrest. On even this single function greatly adds comfort. To get a bed, the chairs can be lowered. For a surcharge, a couple more seats can be installed in the UAZ Hunter.

The landing is high, there is no footrest. The torpedo is made of dark gray plastic. The speedometer is located somewhere under the steering wheel, which makes it difficult to read the readings from it. The center console still has internal combustion engine temperature sensors,battery charge, fuel quantity and oil pressure. But it is not very easy to read information from them either, since the instruments are located parallel to the torpedo.

Designed for the cold winter, UAZ Hunter, which can be tuned in a special car dealership, has carpeted floors. Pressing the switch turns on the stove. There are no temperature adjustments, you can only change the blowing force (strong mode and medium). If it is very cold outside, then you can open the damper, because of which the air will flow directly from the fan. This will allow the air to warm up faster.

You can put one of the engines in UAZ Hunter: 16-valve gasoline (2, 700 hp, 140 hp), carburetor UMZ-409.10 (2, 900 hp, 100 hp), diesel ZMZ-5143 (2, 240 hp, 98 hp), turbodiesel 4CT90-Andoria (2, 400 hp, 86 hp). A LUK clutch, a five-speed manual transmission, a helical transfer case, Spicer axles, and disc brakes are also installed. Suspension front spring, rear spring.

UAZ Hunter is simple and unpretentious in maintenance. The good dynamic characteristics of this machine, moderate fuel consumption, excellent cross-country ability and high load capacity will please its future owner.
