In 2003, BMW demonstrated a new generation of the fifth BMW series. The updated body was called the BMW 530 E60, becoming one of the main competitors of the Mercedes E-class W211 released a year earlier. The release of the four-door sedan started in 2005. A distinctive feature of this model was all-wheel drive. The BMW 530 GT model is another car of the German concern, which has undergone repeated restyling of both the exterior and the technical component. In appearance, the air intakes, bumpers, optics and radiator grille were the first to be changed. Since the GT model itself is so different from the rest of the fifth series models, the adjustments made to its exterior have become unique and individual.

The main difference of the upgraded Gran Turismo was the increase in trunk volume by 60 liters, which was achieved due to the modified stern, which became a little lower and longer. Visually, such changes are difficult to notice, but when comparing the new and old versions of the BMW 530 GT, the difference immediately becomes noticeable.

German engineers, despite the restyling, retained the main feature of the GT - a double tailgate: access to it can only be obtained after the lower half of the lid is opened. If you lift the entire door, then the process of loading large items and changing the layout of the compartment is greatly simplified. Since the rear seats are made in proportions of 40:20:40 and each of their parts is freely adjustable and reclines, there are plenty of options for transforming the trunk of the BMW 530 GT. This versatility is largely determined by the fact thatthe car model is a comfortable hatchback designed for traveling. The GT's high level of comfort, especially when compared to other 5-series models, is achieved through revised suspension settings and a spacious interior.

Vehicle and GT fifth series are equipped with a rear air suspension with the ability to adjust the level of the body. In motion, the 530 GT is smoother and more imposing than other models in the series, which is especially noticeable when entering corners, where there is little to no body roll. Additionally, it is worth noting the excellent soundproofing of the cabin: even at high speed, all third-party noises are perfectly absorbed and do not penetrate inside the car.
