The quality of the work performed largely depends on the well-being and general condition of the machine operator. It is very difficult to spend 14-16 hours a day in the tractor cabin during the agricultural harvest (for example, sowing, harvesting grain). Naturally, such a physical load has an effect on the body. Along the way, the tractor driver is exposed to dust, vibrations, high temperatures and so on.

That is why manufacturers of agricultural machinery have recently begun to pay more and more attention to the arrangement of the cab, excluding the influence of harmful factors. So, significant changes affected the domestic brand "MTZ". In the new models of tractors, machine operators received comfortable and convenient working conditions.

Cab overview

The cab of the MTZ-80 and MTZ-82 tractors is made by welding sheet steel. Under the inner lining there is a heater, which is also a soundproofing layer. The cabin itself is mounted on four shock absorbers. This reduces vibration andshaking.

Large glass surface facilitates visibility; windshield wipers are installed on the front and rear. Air can be supplied through the open rear windows and roof. Some models have air conditioning. A heating system is provided for operation in the cold season.

You can get into the cabin through 2 doors located on different sides. In front of each of them there is a staircase with two steps and a handrail. The soft seat is mounted on a torsion bar suspension, hydraulic shock absorbers or air suspension. The stiffness of the shock absorbers can be changed. The chair can be adjusted in height and proximity to the steering column. The back is tilted. This increases the level of comfort.

The steering column is adjustable in two planes. The layout of the dashboard, pedals and other levers is the same as other models.

Types of cabins

There are 2 types of MTZ cabins: large (unified) and small (with a lower height). They differ only in height. All other characteristics are the same. This applies to fastening to the frame and interior fittings. Therefore, cabs are interchangeable.

The height of the large cabin of the MTZ tractor is 285 centimeters. This part of the tractor can be used in cases where such a parameter does not play a decisive role (for example, when performing agricultural work in the field).

When the MTZ tractor is used indoors (warehouses, farms, and so on), a small cab is used. Its height is 255centimeters.

Glazing

The main distinguishing characteristic of the MTZ-80 (MTZ-82) cabin is a large glass area. Glasses are located along its entire perimeter, giving the machine operator a full 360-degree view and virtually eliminating “blind” zones. This includes almost completely glazed doors, windshield and rear windows. Glass is also located on the sides and on the roof of the agricultural machine. Thanks to this feature, the machine operator can see everything that surrounds him.

To improve visibility, large mirrors are installed on the sides of the MTZ-82 (MTZ-80) cab. In them, the operator can see the background, while turning back is not required.

Finish inside

MTZ cab is a metal frame sheathed with sheet steel. Only high-quality materials are used for manufacturing. The accuracy of the calculations used by the manufacturer makes it possible to increase the safety of the operator (even in the event of a machine overturn).

Inside the cabin is sheathed with a layer of noise and heat insulation. Rubber mats are placed on the floor to prevent feet from slipping. Materials are selected environmentally friendly, reliable, do not impair the well-being of the machine operator. Neutral tones are chosen according to the color palette. Most often, preference is given to gray. This is done in order not to distract the tractor driver during work and not to irritate the eyesight.

Dashboard

As mentioned above, the instrument panel does not differ much from other models. It is located right before the eyes of the machine operator on the front panel of the MTZ cab. Thanks to this panel, you can regulate the operation of the main components and mechanisms of equipment.

The shield includes such elements as a speedometer, instruments for monitoring engine temperature, oil pressure, electrical network. These elements are located in the form of a circle. In the event of a failure of one of the systems, the shield will report a malfunction with bright signal lamps.

Information on the devices is easy to read, the data on the elements of the arrow type are divided into zones. One look of an experienced machine operator is enough to understand the whole picture. In the dark, a backlight is organized. With the correct operation of the unit, all indicators are in the green zone of the scale.

Controls

In the MTZ cab, the controls for the main and additional functions are located very conveniently. The brake, clutch and gas pedals are on the floor. The pedal itself has a rubber pad that prevents the foot from slipping off.

Levers located on the right hand allow you to adjust the working operations. Before the operator's eyes is a diagram indicating the position of the levers.

The steering wheel is adjustable in two planes. It has a horn button. Just below the steering wheel are the turn signal and windshield wipers. Switches are conveniently located near the steering column on the instrument panelauxiliary options.
