Adjustment of the PTO MTZ-80 is carried out not only in specialized workshops, but also with your own hands. This greatly reduces the cost of the process, especially if you have the appropriate skills and understand the features of the technical equipment of the node. Consider the features of this procedure.

First stage

MTZ-80 adjustment is carried out in the following sequence (here the indicated numbers correspond to the numbers indicated on the drawing).

Stages of work:

  • The eccentric axle is set to its original position so that the flat "B" is located in a vertical position on the right side. It must be fixed with a stopper 17 and a bolt 16.
  • Next, disconnect the rod 4.
  • Unscrew the bolt 9, thus releasing the spring 6. For safety reasons, when unscrewing the bolt 9, make sure that the cup 7 is constantly in contact with the seat until the spring is fully expanded.
  • Remove the manhole cover on the rear axle, gaining access to the screws 13.
  • Fix the lever 11 in the neutral position with the M1060 bolt or rod 10, 8 mm in diameter. It is inserted into the socket on the lever and the corresponding hole on the back case.

Further PTO adjustment MTZ-80

Further, the operation is carried out as follows:

  • The locking plate 26 is dismantled, the screws 21 are screwed in with a force of 10 kgf, after which each element is unscrewed a couple of turns.
  • The bolted rod 10 is removed, releasing the lever 11 in its original position for correction.
  • The bolt 9 must be tightened by directing its nose into the recessed part of the cup 7 to the size "A" 26 mm.
  • Move lever 11 to the “On” position.
  • Rod 4 is set by adjusting with analog 15 until the swing zone of lever 1 coincides in the middle part of the control panel slot.
  • At the end of the work, put the stopper 26, the hatch cover in place, tighten the rods 4 and 15 together with the bolt 9.

Features

Additionally, when adjusting the MTZ-80 PTO with your own hands, you may need to adjust the band brakes. If:

  • PTO slip is observed.
  • When switching, the control lever 1 rests against the front or back of the control panel slot.
  • Force on element 1 exceeds 15 kgf.
  • There is a fuzzy fixation of the lever 1 in the extreme positions or when turning on and off.

Tuning band brakes

This operation of the MTZ-80 PTO adjustment part is performed by the external adjustment method, namely:

  1. Install lever 11 inneutral position, fix it in this position by inserting the rod 10 into the provided holes.
  2. The bolt 16 is unscrewed, the plate 17 is dismantled from the spline tail on the axis 15.
  3. Turn the eccentric 15 clockwise with a special key to a suitable gap between the brake band and the working drum (you can check the position manually, if the shank does not turn, then the desired position has been selected).
  4. The plate and bolt are put in place.
  5. The latches are removed from the lever.
  6. The adjustment of the MTZ-80 PTO belts can be considered complete.

What to look out for?

After making external adjustments several times, the axis 15 can take the extreme left position. This indicates that the external adjustment margin has been used up. To normalize the situation, the eccentric is turned counterclockwise to its original position. Then the MTZ-80 PTO is adjusted in the manner indicated above.

If all the manipulations are done correctly, lever 1 is in the “On” position. and "Off" should not reach the edge of the console slot less than 30 millimeters, while the transition to neutral should be clear.

On some modifications of tractors, the MTZ-80 PTO adjustment is carried out without an external adjustment mechanism, due to its absence. In this case, the operation in question is performed in the same way as indicated above, only after repair or assembly at the factory. On models with a small cab, the “B” index is 50-60 millimeters.

The effectiveness of the brake system and the lack of slip depends solely on the spring device. This is especially true for the presence of free working areas and levers aggregating with them. PTO slip indicates that the springs or levers meet additional resistance when they move without sufficient lubrication in the mechanisms.

DIY MTZ-80 PTO adjustment

It is necessary to carefully monitor the change in the position of the power take-off shaft lever during operation, avoiding the element to rest on the cab floor, otherwise slipping may occur in emergency mode. Additional symptoms of the need for adjustment are considered to be an increased travel of the control lever and increasing pressure when the “On” position is activated. and "Off", and vice versa.

MTZ-80 PTO adjustment is performed in the following sequence:

  • Combine the holes on the threaded hole of the body and the analogue on the lever, after which it must be fixed with a rod.
  • Remove the cover, tighten the adjusting screws to failure (force - 8-10 N / m), and then loosen them by 2-3 turns.
  • Control the ease of rotation of the serviced unit by rotating the splined shank by hand.
  • Connect the rod to the lever with a cylindrical finger, cotter well.
  • Install the cup assembly with the spring into the recess of the tank until a slight rotation of the stop bolt is observed. The force of compression of the spring with a glass -not less than 200 kgf.
  • The assembly is fixed in a compressed state by means of a bolt that is screwed into a nut welded to the cover.
  • The screw is turned out until the glass of the spring mechanism moves freely in relation to its cover.
  • Secure the bolt in the arm with the locknut.
  • The rods are adjusted so that the distance from the lever to the lower edge of the cab is 50 millimeters in the on mode.

Repair

The MTZ-80 tractor for PTO adjustment is in any case put in for repair if there are cracks and dents on the eye, glass or roller. Troubleshoot as follows:

  • Align the sockets of the shift shaft and the rear axle with the control lever. After the holes match, they are fixed with a set bolt.
  • The lock nut is loosened and the stop screw is screwed into the shift roller lever to the limit.
  • The locking bolt is screwed into the glass, after which the adjusting analogue is carefully removed.
  • After that, the glass with springs is dismantled, then it is dismantled and unusable parts are changed.

Other malfunctions

  1. Faults with the Cam clutch. With this malfunction, the cab is dismantled, the gear assembly is disconnected from the rear axle. The element is then replaced as there is no point in repairing it.
  2. When is the MTZ-80 PTO turned off? Gnash - adjustment in this case is carried out with the simultaneous replacement of worn teethcentral gear or spline connections. To do this, the power take-off shaft is first removed by pressing out, after which the condition of the element is assessed. If there are malfunctions in the form of increased gaps or looseness, the parts are sent for repair.
  3. What should I do if the PTO shank moves freely? This indicates a loosening of the fixing nut. It is necessary to completely dismantle the assembly, then restore the thread and tighten the nut until it stops. If this cannot be done, the entire structure is dismantled with labor-intensive repairs.
