Today, freight transportation has become an integral part of construction, transportation and international deliveries. The Belarusian MAZ 6312a9 should be singled out as a truck for international transportation. It was launched into mass production recently and it looks like it will be produced for more than one year.
About specifications
The novelty is equipped with a six-cylinder diesel engine YaMZ 650-10. The motor complies with all the norms and requirements of EURO 3. The truck is produced under the license of Renault Trucks and has an in-line arrangement of cylinders (for similar models it was V-shaped). Due to this, fuel consumption was reduced by three percent. At the same time, the power increased.
In combination with a trailer, these trucks are called "locomotives". Unlike truck tractors, this equipment has a larger cargo compartment (on average by 10-15 percent), has greater maneuverability and versatility. ButThere are also disadvantages - this is fuel consumption. Often it is 3-4 percent higher than that of tractors. But such a difference is more than covered by obvious pluses.
The new cab has similar features to the cabs of its predecessors. Perhaps the only significant change is rounded headlights (previous models were square) and an aerodynamic shape. But thanks to these small changes, the designers have achieved maximum expressiveness of the truck. Seeing such a road train on the freeway, you can’t immediately distinguish it from previous models. The high layout of the cab gives the car not only solidity, but also creates comfortable conditions for the driver. But as they say, there is a fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey. So it happened with MAZ - the instrument panel has the same combination and design as the 10-year-old models. But, fortunately, this does not affect comfort and load capacity in any way. On the new product, you can safely transport goods on long-distance routes.
A little about numbers
It is worth noting that the volume of the cargo compartment of the MAZ 6312a9 320 010 is 46 cubic meters, which is a good indicator for modern "steam locomotives". At the same time, its carrying capacity is thirteen tons. But thanks to the powerful motor, a small overload of 1-2 tons practically does not affect the behavior of the car. And yet it is better to operate it with a trailer.
At the Minsk Automobile Plant, a trailer was developed specifically for this model - MAZ 870110. It is able to accommodate a load of up to 47.3 cubic meters. Thus, MAZ6312a9 as part of a road train is capable of pulling loads weighing up to 27 tons and with a volume of up to 93 cubic meters. Its gross weight is 44 tons. At the same time, the car is capable of speeds of about 100 kilometers per hour! As you can see, the technical characteristics are superior to those of truck tractors. This truck is also operated as a grain carrier and is capable of transporting any bulk cargo weighing up to 26,000 kilograms.
