The DAAZ carburetor consists of the main parts: a diffuser, a throttle valve, a jet and a float chamber. If a carburetor needs to be replaced, then one must be able to choose among a large number one that will meet certain conditions and will fit the desired engine cubic capacity. The most revered today has remained the DAAZ carburetor. From 1970 to 1982, a DAAZ 2101, 2103, 2106 carburetor, manufactured at the Dimitrovsky Automobile Plant, was installed. The old ones were replaced by new carburetors, 2105-2107. They already have a more advanced system thanpredecessors, and they have a new name - "Ozone". This name speaks of the environmental friendliness of the DAAZ carburetor. Their installation in our time is carried out on the "Classic".
If you take the instruction manual, then the rules state that the adjustment of the DAAZ 2107 carburetor should be carried out on a regular basis, so it will be possible to achieve fuel economy, while engine performance will not be lost. The DAAZ carburetor consists of a large number of rubbing parts that, when worn out, require mandatory adjustment.
DAAZ carburetor adjustment consists of several stages. First you need to adjust the drive rods. To do this: unscrew and remove the air filter with the housing, measure the length between the centers of the rod ends (it should be 80mm). In case of any deviation, the tip will have to be removed. Using an 8 wrench, loosen the locknut and rotate the tip to the desired length of the rod. Now you can tighten the locknut and install the rod in place.
It is necessary to check the opening of the first throttle chamber at the moment the gas pedal is pressed all the way. If this does not happen, then the lever of this damper has an additional stroke.
Use a screwdriver to remove the plastic tip from the intermediate trailing arm. Now you need to loosen the locknut and reduce the length of the rod. Put the rod back in place and check again how the damper opens.
When the pedal is released,throttle should close. If this does not work out, then it is necessary to lengthen the thrust. To do this, release the suction cable fastening. In the passenger compartment, it is necessary to fully push the handle that controls the air damper. To open the damper, press the three-arm lever and immediately tighten the locking screw.
Now, while pulling out the choke knob, close it. Push the handle in again until it stops. After making sure the damper is fully open, tighten the locking screw.
Every car model uses a downdraft carburetor. That is, air entering the carburetor from above falls vertically downwards. Air is mixed with fuel, which enters through the jets.
