Nevertheless, technical characteristics of cars of this type ("UAZ-Hunter" is no exception) allow you to confidently stay in the traffic flow both in the metropolis and off-road.

Historically, this car is the successor of several generations of all-terrain vehicles with an excellent pedigree, starting with the legendary GAZ-69. The last among them wasUAZ-469, "served" in the Soviet Army for over thirty years. Time could not but affect his descendants - the UAZ-Hunter car has a more civilized, civilian appearance, while maintaining the strict bearing of a born military man, accustomed to endure the hardships of service (snow, wind, rain, impassable roads).

We must immediately note the presence of a classic frame, which few of the modern cars, defined as SUVs, can boast of. If we consider their capabilities and technical characteristics, UAZ-Hunter compares favorably with the competitors mentioned. An important advantage will be solid axles, front-wheel drive and a two-stage transfer case. All these differences inherent in the all-terrain vehicle are confirmed by more than one test drive, the UAZ-Hunter successfully overcomes significant off-road sections and complex profiles.

Energy for movement is provided by gasoline or diesel engines. The first of them is a 409 Zavolzhsky engine of 2.7 liters, producing 112 horsepower, the second is a Zavolzhsky diesel engine 5143.10, showing a power of 92 horsepower with a volume of 2.2 liters. The motors are equipped with a Korean five-speed gearbox and a fine-grained razdatka. The basic package includes a headlight hydrocorrector, power steering, noise and heat insulation of the cabin. Its furnishings have a rather ascetic design, but for such a car, the main advantage is the technical characteristics. "UAZ-Hunter" - a purely utilitarian carand not particularly comfortable.

It is the design elements mentioned earlier that make this all-terrain vehicle one of the favorite vehicles of off-road fans. In addition, it should probably be noted quite a decent clearance of 210 mm, and the absence of all kinds of protruding parts on the bottom, which has a positive effect on the cross. When driving, this "Hunter" consumes a little more than 13 liters of gasoline in the urban cycle, and the diesel version "eats" 10.1 liters of diesel fuel.

Although "Hunter" is considered an SUV, for him such a name can be perceived as a significant belittling of its capabilities. So too many cars are positioned that have no reason to be assigned to this class. It can be considered at least an all-terrain vehicle that demonstrates its capabilities and technical characteristics. "UAZ-Hunter" more than once brilliantly left behind more eminent and promoted rivals.
