BMW F10 facelift

BMW F10, belonging to the fifth series, began to be produced in 2010, therefore, this development has reached the age of three. Because of this, Bavaria decided to give a more updated look to their business model, affecting not only the sedan, but also the station wagon, and even the Gran Turismo hatchback.

The updated car is best recognized by the turn signals, which are now built into the mirrors on the sides, and not in the front fenders, as it used to be.

The optics in the front of the car has become sharper, xenon has already been provided in the standard configuration for the BMW F10, and adaptive headlights, which are endowed with the ability to change high beam to low beam or in reverse, are offered to the buyer as an additional equipment.

The bumpers also had a significant impact on improving the aerodynamic properties of the BMW F10 M5. They received chrome inserts in front and behind the car. It should also be recalled that the model is built on the basis of the representative seventh series, so giving the fifth series separate strokes,specific to the cars in this range seem to be quite appropriate.

Diesel is supplied with a pair of turbines and installed on the sample 518d. The installed powerful unit is capable of delivering one hundred and forty-three horsepower with a torque of three hundred and sixty nanometers. The most powerful model - the 550i - is equipped with an additional 43 horsepower, now the power is four hundred and fifty horsepower, and a thrust of six hundred and fifty Nm is comparable to the torque of a Nissan GT-R. The sporty-style M5 is equipped with an optional special package that delivers up to 570 horsepower.

The coasting system, when the car independently determines the moment when it is moving downhill, and the driver does not press the gas pedal, is offered as an option. In this case, the neutral includes an automatic machine with eight mis-speeds, as a result of which the BMW moves in a coasting way, without wasting energy on spinning the gearbox.

In addition to the facelift on the outside, the upgraded model received an updated engine running on a two-liter diesel engine. The diesel engine is equipped with a steam turbine and installed on the sample 518d. The new power plant is capable of delivering one hundred and forty-three horsepower with a torque of three hundred and sixty Nm.

The BMW F10 is now available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

Thanks to this system, the new BMW 518d on the combined cycle spends fourhalf a liter of diesel fuel. Each power unit of the BMW 5 series F10 at the end of the modernization fully complied with Euro-6 standards in terms of environmental performance. The Traffic Jam Assistant system, which keeps the car within the lane by observing the markings, will be included in the list of optional equipment. Implementation of the updated model is scheduled for the end of summer 2013.

It should be noted that this powerful car is equipped with shock absorbers, which are regulated by the most modern electronics.
