Charging
The biggest concern people have is battery maintenance. In the control panel, you can set the following charging parameters:
- Auto-charge. Allows the vehicle to start charging the battery at a specified time.
- Charging border. As you know, charging lithium-ion batteries should not be abused, so the software installed on Tesla cars allows you to limit the battery charge level (for example, 95%).
- Current parameters. On the charging screen, you can adjust the parameters of the current that your car will "eat". At the moment, "Teslas" can "digest" current from 80 to 5 Amperes.
People who have been to the US and are familiar with local 110-volt outlets think that Tesla cars should charge faster here. But here it must be said that if you insert the cable into a regular outlet, then the car battery will be charged for 30 hours. But you can use a special charger that hangs on the wall, connects to the shield and outputs 20 kW 80 Amperes - charging in this way, you will wait only four and a half hours.
Tesla Motors also took care of the safety of the battery in extreme conditions - chargers are equipped with serious fuses that will protect your car from any power surges. In addition, each battery comes with an eight-year warranty and is free to replace.
Riding
"Tesla" is a car whose characteristics can be called outstanding. It's all about its non-standard layout. The car itself weighs two tons, and half of the weight is the battery, which is located under the cabin floor. Thus, the center of gravity of the car is significantly lower than the axles of the wheels, thanks to which Tesla can boast of simply phenomenal ability to keep the road. And this is given the fact that modern modifications exist only in the rear-wheel drive version. The manufacturer has already announced all-wheel drive, but for now it will have to wait.
Pressing the accelerator pedal, one wonders how smoothly and calmly Nikola Tesla's car starts its run. The fact is that the electric motor does not need a gearbox to work, so the Tesla drives very smoothly. The rest of the sprinters, accelerating, fill the neighborhood with a loud roar.
