KrAZ-6322 is a vehicle, the main purpose of which is the transportation of goods and people both on roads (regardless of their category) and off-road, in addition, it can also be used as an airfield tractor for towing aircraft devices.

Truck prototype and differences from it

Work on a new off-road truck began at the Kremenchug Automobile Plant in 1990. This car became a continuation of the line of development of the serial KrAZ-260. First of all, the new KrAZ-6322 differs from its prototype in a more powerful YaMZ-238 D power plant and an installed corrector that allows the driver to manually adjust the amount of fuel in the intake piping, thereby virtually eliminating engine failures at low speeds. In addition, the fuel reserve was increased in the car, the carrying capacity was increased by a ton, and the speed characteristics were improved. The appearance also did not remain without innovations: changes were made to the plumage of the cab and the bumper. Serial production of KrAZ trucks of this model was launched by the plant in 1993.

KrAZ-6322 has a traditional bonnet layout. The cargo platform mounted on the chassis is made of metal. It provides for: a folding tailgate, folding benches for transporting people, arcs for attaching a waterproof awning. To improve cross-country ability, the truck uses all-wheel drive, without the possibility of disabling axles, as well as: short overhangs in the rear and front, single wheels, a tire pressure monitoring and adjustment system.

The car is equipped with an eight-cylinder four-stroke turbocharged diesel engine. To facilitate the operation of the car in the winter, KrAZ-6322 is equipped with a pre-heater and a thermal start - a device that allows you to start the engine even at the lowest temperatures. The muffler is excluded from the exhaust gas exhaust system - part of the exhaust energy is absorbed by the turbine. The clutch is dry, double disc. Gearbox - four-speed, having synchronizers for all gears, with the exception of reverse. The box is interlocked with a two-stage divider equipped with a pneumatic actuator for gear control.

"Razdatka" also has two stages, a drive with electro-pneumatics is used to switch modes, and a center differential is also mounted in it. The steering is equipped with a hydraulic booster. The suspension of the KrAZ-6322 is spring-loaded, reinforced with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers. Brakes - drum, with a separate pneumatic drive. Parking brake equippedspring energy accumulators, when it is activated, the wheels of the rear bogie are blocked. In addition, the machine is equipped with an engine brake, which is auxiliary in the system. Under the cargo platform, a winch with a pull of 12 thousand kgf and a fifty-meter cable is provided. The cabin is completely made of metal, equipped with ventilation and heating systems. The driver's seat can be adjusted in three ways: height, distance from the steering wheel, and backrest angle. A searchlight is installed on the roof as additional light optics.
