In addition, the performance of winter tires is strongly influenced by the quality of the rubber itself and, of course, the tread pattern. There are two of them: Scandinavian (or Finnish) and European.
European pattern on winter tires is designed for use on winter European roads with rare snow cover, at temperatures around zero. Therefore, such rubber is suitable for use in the southern regions of our country, but not in its middle and central parts.
The Scandinavian tread was developed specifically for northern European countries and takes into account the peculiarities of operation at low winter temperatures and heavy snow cover and ice formation conditions.
