The phrase "cheap car" in itself sounds a little strange. Everyone knows that a car is a complex high-tech device. And almost any Russian will prefer a foreign-made car to a domestic one. It is because of the technical equipment. Let's try to figure out what they are - the cheapest cars.

Recently, the well-known American publication called "Forbes" has published a world ranking of the cheapest cars. Naturally, only foreign models were considered. The Americans did not take into account the masterpieces of the Russian automobile industry. In our ranking, domestic cars will take their rightful place. So, where to look for the cheapest cars of 2013? Of course, in poor Asian countries. In the first place, the little Tata, released by the Indian automaker in a limited edition, firmly established itself. The cost of the machine is only 2500 dollars. However, it may well accommodate five people and accelerate to 100 km / h. Under the hood of "Tata" there is a 33-horsepower engine, and, thanks to its dimensions,the car deftly maneuvers through the cramped streets of Indian cities.

The second place in the ranking is Chery QQ. It is no secret that the Chinese have long been striving to produce the cheapest cars, copying the well-known and more expensive Japanese and Korean models. So Chery QQ turned out to be an almost exact copy of Daewoo Matiz. In the Chinese market, the car costs about $4,800. However, for us, gentlemen, the Chinese raise the price by almost half.

Third place goes to the Japanese automaker Suzuki, or rather its Suzuki Maruti 800 car.

The "Chinese" is also in fourth place. The super-compact Geele MR hatchback with pretty good technical and external data is estimated at $5,500.

Now we got to the fun part. On the fifth position of our rating is the cheapest new car of domestic production Lada Granta. No matter what skeptics say about the imperfection of Russian cars, Lada Granta, with its cost of 269 thousand rubles, is still one of the most affordable for most segments of the population.

The sixth line in the list of "Cheapest Cars" is occupied by Daewoo Matiz. In principle, to be more precise, Matiz in the basic configuration costs almost 40 thousand cheaper than Grants. But the standard version is so meager that the car, one might say, is offered absolutely "naked". Not even a janitorrear window, which is not quite usual for a hatchback. If we take the cost in a normal, more or less adapted for driving configuration, then this is about 312 thousand thousand.

Behind the Korean, the “Chinese” is again located. In principle, this is not surprising, given the focus of Chinese automakers on the availability of their cars. Chery A1 with good basic equipment costs $7,400.

The ninth line of the rating went to our Oka. With a now Chinese engine, power accessories and air conditioning, this miracle of engineering will cost about $7,600.

And the last position in the "Cheapest Cars" ranking is occupied by another of our models, namely Lada 2113. The car is quite pleasant in all respects. In fact, this is the result of the painstaking work of VAZ designers and engineers on the once popular VAZ-2108 model. Updated "eight" costs about 8500 dollars.
