So it was with the creation of Renault Scenic - an extremely interesting, multifaceted model, which today is rightfully considered one of the best in the world classification. The Renault Scenic family consists of four models in three generations.

There were no conventional modifications with the transition from a sedan to a station wagon, and from a station wagon to a hatchback. The Renault Scenic project was a self-sufficient development of a minivan-type vehicle, and the designers of the Renault company coped with the task brilliantly. Renault Scenic was created on the basis of Renault Megane - a compact family-type car classified as a golf class. Renault Megane is the successor to the iconic Renault 19 and, of course, the successor to its traditions. Good heritage in the automotive world is not uncommon, and the Renault Megane has become a valuable source of many high-tech parameters for the new Renault Scenic.

The Renault Scenic project started in 1995. After adapting the Renault Megan platform for a new car, the main work began on the design and layout of the components. Renault Scenic was ready in 1996, and a year later the model received the title of "Best Car in Europe in 1997". It was quite an expected honorary recognition of a new European car, technically impeccable, distinguished by a stylish exterior and extraordinary ease of operation. The Renault Scenic power plant was equipped alternately with several engines of various characteristics, the first engine was quite modest in terms of traction, with a power of 75 hp. and a volume of 1.4 liters. The next motor also did not give any advantages, but the third one developed a power of 115 hp, which provided good throttle response.

In 1999, as a result of a deep restyling, Renault Scenic received an improved front end and new headlights. Significant changes were made to the dashboard, door trim and front seat adjustment mechanisms. By that time, three new engines were ready - one gasoline, two-liter, 140 hp, as well as two diesel engines with 82 and 103 hp. respectively. But these advanced engines began to be installed on the car only in 2000.

Reliability Renault Scenic, reviews of which have always been positive, its design advantages did not cause any complaints during the entire period of production. However, one technical defect causedthe need to stop production. The reason for this was the parking brake of the car, or rather, the electronic support of this mechanism. While the car was moving, the parking brake periodically involuntarily slowed down the rear wheels, which was unacceptable.

The next car from the Scenic family was shown at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. Renault Grand Scenic - an extended version, seven-seat, with an extended body. The new model was intended for trips out of town, travel, transportation of oversized cargo. The second and rear row of seats were laid on the floor, and a perfectly flat area was obtained. Renault Grand Scenic has long taken its place in the lineup of the Scenic family. Soon the all-wheel drive Renault Scenic Conquest was released. Finally, in 2009, Renault Scenic New appeared - a significant car, with clear signs of sportiness.
