The first generation Bentley Azur

British company Bentley Motors began production of the first generation of the Azur model in 1995. This is a two-door four-seater convertible. The predecessor is the Bentley-Continental-R, which has been in production since 1991.

The second generation of Azur models

In 2003, the production of the first generation Bentley Azure ceased. But at that time, the leadership of the Volkswagen Group did not have a successor for him. The second generation of convertibles appeared only in 2006. It was developed based on the 1998 Arnage model.

From the first generation models, the folding roof mechanism has passed. Only now it has been improved a little. This reduced the opening (closing) time to thirty seconds.

The lack of a roof forced the developers to work hard on strengthening the rigidity of the body frame. For this purpose, under the floor of the machine are installedcarbon fiber beams.

Bentley-Azur-T

The final stage in the history of Bentley Azure, the characteristics of which are described above, was the production of the Bentley-Azur-T series, which appeared on the market in 2009.
